Skin is a a figurative video, inviting the audience to slowly explore every inch of a body – with all it’s abstractions – and with a soundscape unfolding the secrets of the skin, what’s behind the textures, shapes and scars. The close look becomes dissecting, objectifying like a scientific examination but the body also becomes huge, overwhelming and monumental. It is here, right now, and sculpted by years of experiences. The audience watching the video almost gets ‘inside’ this person and it creates an intimate space between the viewer and the subject.
